As surprising as it seems to many, I was raised on Kauai. I attended Kilauea Elementary and Kapaa High School. I went to college in the mainland, and after graduating I wanted to come home and apply my skills in Hawaii. Unfortunately there were no jobs for newly minted electrical and computer engineers so I spent 16 years in the mainland before finally coming home for good.
I have one simple goal for Hawaii Business Consulting. I want to reverse the brain drain of talent in Hawaii by making more companies in Hawaii successful with technology, because if they are successful they will grow; as they grow they will need to hire more people and create more jobs; through this creation of jobs and services Hawaii's economy will expand and that way, when my children graduate from college in 20 years from now they won't face the same situation I did when I graduated and there were no real jobs for me to come to home to.
People say that it takes time to effect change in Hawaii. I guess you can say I am in here for the long haul. If we work together I truly believe we can make a difference, and create a better future for our children and for Hawaii.
